About Sarah:
»Top
Sarah Samantha Keeler was born December 4th, 1987, to parents Joseph and Cindy Keeler and older brother Rob.

From a young age Sarah had a passion for art. After finger painting for the first time in kindergarten she convinced Joseph and I to let her paint her own room that summer. The walls were filled with handprints in every color of the rainbow, and even though I was slightly dismayed at five year old Sarah's paint job at the time, I realize now how beautiful it was. Sarah's first work of art.

In 5th grade, at Parents' Night, Sarah's art teacher, Ms. Shawnessy congratulated us on Sarah's natural artistic ability. This came as news to us, but once we saw some of Sarah's work we realized that this was something really special. Later that week we enrolled Sarah in an after-school art program and watched her works blossom with every passing day.

When Sarah wasn't painting, she was acting in school plays or like most other kids her age, just hanging out at the mall with her many wonderful friends.

On September 1st 2005, Sarah woke up at noon like every other kid enjoying the last days of their summer break. We went out for lunch together (Joseph, myself and Sarah) enjoying the little time we had left with her before she moved away for art school. We couldn't have been more proud, our wonderful daughter would be chasing her dream. After lunch, she gave us both a kiss on the cheek and told us she loved us as she was headed out for the evening with her friends. That was the last time we saw our daughter alive.

Sarah was killed in automobile accident that night.

My Memories
"It seems as if yesterday
you held out your hand
for a walk in the park
a play in the sand

I know it was just last night
I tucked you in bed
saying our prayers
with a kiss on the head

Sometimes I wonder why you had to go
But the answer to this I already know
So much suffering just can't go on
I finally had realized what I knew all along

I had so much to say
I Love You's to tell
I started to slip
and I almost fell

But I kept on moving
one day at a time
My memories kept going
on and on in my mind

The day you were born
Your first big girl bike
I know you put these there
for me to keep in sight

I know you are with me
each hour and minute
I feel you around me
There seems to be no limit

So my darling daughter
I want you to know
I miss you and Thank You
for helping me let you go"

Sarah,
Since you've been gone, Lisa and I had a daughter, the first time we saw her we couldn't believe how much she looked like you. Same eyes. Guess who she's named after? :)

Just remember that you'll never be forgotten, I can't wait til our little girl is old enough for us to tell her about how great her aunt Sarah was.
Love,
Rob

Sarah,
Not a day goes by where we don't think of you. We've hung up all the art you left in the garage all over the house, it looks beautiful. We gave Rob a few pieces to put in his daughter Sarah's nursery too.
We're working on setting up some kind of scholarship fund in your name to help kids get into art school. It's still a work in progress but it's coming along very well.
We know you're always with us, but more importantly we're always with you, wherever you are. We miss you so much.
Love,
Mom & Dad

I am sorry for the loss of your loved one, I hope you find comfort in the fact that love never dies and it is only a breathe of time before you will hold her near again.

sorry to hear about your sad loss may god bless you all

so sorry for your loss.

Hey Sarah,

This website your parents made for you is beautiful.

I bought a couple of your paintings, they look great in my room.

Dave moved out to New York City a couple months ago, it's weird not having him around anymore but he's gonna come back to visit sometime this summer.

Erin finally got her dream job working at Paramount down in Culver, I still see her almost every weekend.

I just finished my first term at USC, gonna head back there in September. It's a really great campus.

Anyway, I'll check in later. I miss you so much.

Love always,
Stacy

Sarah,
Your aunt Jessica and I miss you very much. A day still hasn't gone by where we haven't thought of your smile.
Love,
Uncle Jeffrey
